Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)
Temporary Traffic Arrangements on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)
Date: 26 August 2019
To facilitate the construction of the “Road Widening and Retrofitting Noise Barriers on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section)” project, two traffic lanes of a section of Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section) southbound between Lek Yuen Estate Luk Chuen House and Shatin Plaza will be temporarily closed at night time from 26 August 2019 to 5 October 2019 between 01:00 a.m. and 06:00 a.m. (approx.15 nighttime works) (see attached Layout Plan) to facilitate lane shifting and road mark modification works. During the works period, vehicles on Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section) southbound traffic lane heading for Kowloon direction shall take the existing slip road up to the Sha Tin Rural Committee Road Interchange and then using the slip road back to the Tai Po Road (Sha Tin Section).
The above-mentioned works have to be conducted at night so as not to affect normal traffic during daytime. The works area will be fenced off to ensure public safety. Appropriate signs will be displayed to guide motorists.
